There's someone selling a used one that's less than a year old for $80 USD, I'm welcome to test it out before buying it. My question now is, should I consider buying it? Reading less than a year old I'm guessing is nearing a year old, the seller says it's in good condition but are used keyboards worth buying or should I just buy a new one instead? New one costs anywhere between $140 low and $160 high, it's usually in the $150 on average.

The drive is like 35 minutes away from here so I thought I should know on whether or not it's worth it before making the semi-long trip. Thanks in advance!

It would be up to you whether you think it's worth it. Used doesn't always mean terrible and if they're willing to let you test it out it sounds like they're not worried about it performing. Mechanical keyboards are typically rated for tons of keystrokes and ducky shine is a higher end brand. Figure worst case scenario, if driving an hour round trip for nothing isn't worth your time then pass. If potentially saving $80 is worth an hour round trip go check it out. I've used several things preowned that I got from craigslist or similar places and they worked great. My monitor for one, It's a 22" pro series crt (yes, ancient lol) but no ghosting in games, crystal sharp display and it cost me a whole $15. Been using it for going on 3yrs.
