i installed a new hard drive, it shows up in device manager along with my main hard drive, the new drive also shows up in speccy and it is running at 87 degrees, what did i do wrong? sorry i didnt explain enough, i'm just wondering why its not showing up in windows explorer, i told the hard drives temp to illustrate that it had power running to it and it was on, my main hd is running 92 degrees. i went to computer management in win 7, under storage i saw the new hard drive i clicked on it. It says i have to initialize the new hd? it says use the following partition style for the selected disks, Master Boot Record or Guid Partition Table, it further says the guid partition table is not recognized by all previous versions of windows it is recommended for disks larger than 2 tb.
