HI Guys
So i decided to go through the extra effort of making a wired internet connection for the PC that i'm building.
I am going to run an ethernet cable from the modem to the computer, this will mean buying a new, longer one. I currently have a category 5e cable (thats too short) and it fits perfectly into the modem as it should. Is the male connection on a Cat 6 exactly the same? Will it fit into the modem the same way as the Cat 5e did?
One last question. Will I need a LAN card in order for me to connect to the internet when I have my ethernet cable connected? If yes, are they all pretty standard or should I look for a certain one?
Thanks
