GPU installation,Question on power supply

I have an AMD FX 8300 with a listed TDP of 95w,a 500w PSU and I want to install a GTX 970 with a listed TDP of 145w. Will I need to upgrade my PSU?

If the quality of the PSU is good and if you keep the OC low to none then you will not need to change the PSU.

It's an ASUS oem psu,so I'd better upgrade

yea get a XFX 550 watt PSU if you have a SLI capable board and want to SLI in future then get a EVGA G2 750 watt PSU.
