Hello, I have recently built my first PC. However, I made the mistake of connecting both the HDD and the SSD when installing WIndows 8.1 from my USB. I am not sure how to undo this, the system fails to start, and it eventually(very randomly) reaches the windows log in and then crashes and I get the blue screen of death(RQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL). Is there a way to erase everything that has been installed on the drives and correcting this mistake? Thanks.
P.s. My current build is:

MB: GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 LGA 1150
CPU: i5-4690 3.5Ghz LGA 1150
RAM: G-SKILL Sniper Series DDR3 1866
STORAGE: 1 x Kingston SSDNow V300 series 240GB SATA III and 1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200 RPM
GRAPHICS CARD: XFX Double D R9-280X-TDFD Radeon R9 280X 3GB
POWER SUPPLY: Rosewill PHOTON series 750W full moduilar

Solution

Boot in your USB you used to install Win8. Go to advanced options when it's available. Format the drives. Then unplug your HDD (when system is off) and reboot. Install Windows on the SSD that should still be plugged in.

Ideally, that'll help you out. You don't need to erase-erase a drive, a format will be perfectly sufficient.
