I have my eye on either an either an Asus or HP i5-4460 (or greater) 6 or 8GB PC.

I'm not looking to overclock or play games, so building my own system is just a waste, IMO, since it's going to cost me almost $300 for the case, power supply and Windows 8 alone.

So that being said, I'm wondering who uses the best motherboards in their prebuilds. I've narrowed things down to Asus or HP. Obviously Asus makes their own. Does HP?

Thanks!

Solution
It doesn't even matter for a prebuilt. As ASUS will probably have an ASUS board while the HP will probably have an ACRE branded board. '

Neither is really better.

I would go for the ASUS due to better customer support.

Hi, i only have experience with HP prebuilt PC (my Asus exp is limited to my latest self built PC) the quality is good but as you have discovered the design of the cases is not awsome, and the software updates for their pc often ruin something or another minor thing with their own software (utilities and such) most notably on their laptops, speaking of HP laptos they come bloated with preinstalled stuff that seems to make them sluggish.
