My PC: gateway gt5408

gt5408 specs

Some background: this pc has served me well as a hand me down from my family in 2010. It had to get wiped because of viruses but when the electronics store restored the PC they neglected to tell us that it had to get activated and that CD was long gone. I have been running on not-official windows since.

Yesterday afternoon I forgot to wait for it to fully shutdown and unplugged it so I could vacuum but later on when I turned it on it worked fine.

Fast forward to this evening. I get the following message when I turned it on:

I unplugged everything and wiped off the dust from the fan and used sanitizer wipe on the bottom of the tower. Still the same message.

Wiping the PC again is NOT an option because I'm still in the process of getting my entire family photo library printed. A couple hundred per paycheck.

You probably already realized, I am a total noob. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you.

@Paul NZ no. I have no idea where it is. It used to be in the former owners hands, my parents but they are notorious for losing things.

I did update the post now so people can see the pic of what I saw on the postimg link.

@Paul NZ I have not. This is strictly an offline PC. HOWEVER I do periodically cut&paste content from my tablet, phone and thumb drives to it. I do not cut & paste things like pirate software though so I dunno what the significance of my paste activity might be on this whole affair.
