Hello,
Recently I built a computer everything works perfectly except for the front audio port on my case...

I've been doing research for hours now throughout the last 3 days and from what I've found Realtek's HD audio drivers have the front ports disabled by default only I cant figure out how to change it (each website/tutorial I've come across references some yellow icon that I don't have) if Realtek's driver is the problem whenever I plug anything into the front port my PC doesn't notify/recognize that anything is plugged into it compared to when I plug it into the back panel ports so I'm wondering if its just a faulty port.

Hopefully my problem is clear, this PC is my first ever build and I'm still getting used to windows since my last computer was a Mac... Please help xD

Parts
MOBO: Z97 Killer (Asrock)
Case: Phantom 530
Operating System: Windows 7

Thanks!

Solution
The HD audio connector for the FPA (front panel audio). It can only be plugged in in the right orientation. Make sure that the onboard audio is set in the motherboard's BIOS to match the FPA. (Default is usually HD.)

It shouldn't be anything else hopefully.

Solution
Depending on whether the front connection is HD audio make sure its on HD audio in the BIOS.

The setting maybe in the realtek program if you installed the realtek drivers in control panel. I dont know where tho, I just use the audio drivers windows installed
