If I use different brands/types of 240 pin DDR3 RAM will that be okay?

I bought a used gaming pc, and I wanted to increase my RAM for CODAW. The Graphics card is a Radeon HD 5850, and it can run pretty well, but not at it's best settings. So I figured maybe my RAM is too low based on the recommended amount from this site: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/call-of-duty-advanced-warfare/12228/?p=r is 8 GB so I want to look at adding some more Memory.

There are 6 slots available and I currently have 3 sticks of Corsair dominator GT 2GB DDR3 1600

Is it better to replace the three sticks or add more?

Do the RAM sticks have to be the same exact type and brand?

Windows is showing I have 4 GB,, and I am still not sure why, I took out the RAM and plugged it back in the motherboard to make sure it was not loose. No errors showed up on the windows memory test either. I also have no idea where to find the RAM on BIOS. I was thinking maybe it got portioned to WIndows OS or graphic card, but is there any other reason that could happen?

Yes, the sticks have no problems currently and are detecting on windows and bios. Not really sure how to check freq/timings and voltage

The most significant upgrade you can get is another graphics card, providing your power supply can handle it. If you still want to upgrade your ram (6GB is still decent), you should get a new kit of 3x4GB since your chipset has 3 channels of ram. But I still recommend upgrading your graphics card first.

Thanks! So it looks like it is currently 8-8-8-19-59, what does that even mean?
Power supply is 750W

Yea, the graphics card is a little older, but it keeps ups with most current games so I am kind of reluctant to replace it. Also I would basically be investing in a new graphics card for one game

Currently I have 3 RAM chips, but I have 6 slots. I was thinking of just filling the other 3 slots, but I was not sure if it would be better to do that, or replace the 3 I currently I have installed. Not to mention if I need to use a specific kind of RAM in either case
