Hello,
I've been looking around to find an answer to my question and I've been getting mixed answers. I recently built a computer and i'm about to receive my first G1 Gtx 970 and I would like to SLI in the future. I bought a 750w looking to make sure i had plenty of overhead for just one card but was wondering whether it would be enough to SLI in the future.
Thankyou for any answers.

G1 or G2? Sounds like G1 to me though. The g1 is a ok'ish PSU wouldn't recommend for multi GPU setup while the G2 is one of the highest performing PSU.

I need the amperage of the power supply. The wattage is actually not the only thing that matters. 2 of those cards would run at least 60A. A 750 watt power supply with say 75A would be minimal.
A gold rating or above 750 is also recommended. If you can try to get an 850 watt. That's what I have and it gives me sufficient room for moving up.

Yeah it's a G1. Would it run a sli for them but at a risk then?
