Hi All

I recently purchased a R7 260X Sapphire graphic card from ebay. I plugged it in but the pc would not boot, I switched off the pc and unplugged the 6 pin that goes from the power supply to the graphic card and the pc booted and I could use it again. ( i left the graphic card in the PCI E slot). I did the test again this time unplugging my dvd drive and I saw that the fan on the graphic card would turn a bit then stop then start turning but the pc would just power on but not boot. I am using a 500W power supply ( 2 yrs -3 yrs old) I used coolmaster calculator and it is saying recommended of 335W with dvd without its 303W.
Right now I'm using the onboard graphic card.
When I plugged in my new video card I didn't change it on the motherboard do I have to?

cpu= Q8200 quad core socket 775
video card: r7 260X
hard drives = 1 (500GB)
motherboard ASUSTEK P5KPL-AM EPU

How much power supply do I need ? How do I know the graphic card isn't faulty?

Thanks

PS: on the box it says overclock i dunno if it was overclocked when I bought it.
