Finding photos on xp with win7

Sister in law would like the photos from an xp hard drive. I run 7, I tried accessing it and got to see most stuff. Games and basic files. However, I could not find any of the photos. A friend said its because the 2 OS's use different formats or something. Any help would be great.

If your Sister in law used the photos folder it should be c:\Documents and Settings\$USER$\My Documents\My Pictures

Windows7 will read either NTFS or FAT32 if WinXP is either. In Windows7 you might need to use Disk Management tool to initialize the hdd though, but you can already browse it so might be just the photos are just somewhere to be found.

Thats what I thought but none showed. I even had it search for ANY photos and no luck. Hmm.

It took a bit of finese but this ended up working although she had moved them. Found them in another folder I previously overlooked.
