ATTN: Please Help! NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Driver Troubleshooting

Hello again! I've managed to make some progress, and thought I'd update this thread to see if anyone has any ideas to help.

I stayed up till 5AM this morning trying to troubleshoot this; no luck. I woke up and decided to try using the Device Manager 'Upgrade Driver' utility, I opened this, searched the PNY CD that came with the card, and voila! Windows identified and installed the drivers itself...right? It says it did...I can play a game now and the rendering drivers appear to be functional; but there's a problem:

The CD contained an older version of the nVidia drivers, so I attempted to install the newer version after I rebooted from another update. The same thing occurs; the installer window closes as soon as I agree to the Terms and Conditions, and nothing happens. I'm not sure I am explaining this well enough; I open the window, there's a bar on the left that details five steps, the first two I can complete, then the window closes, the other three never happen. There is never a progress bar indicating that an installation is taking place, there is never anything. No window, no notification, nothing but two remaining executables open in the Task Manager.

Now, normally I'd be fine with where I am. My graphics card now identifies correctly as a GTX 650, it can function as it should; so far. Problem is, when I look in Device Manager and I right-click the graphics card, and then look at the driver details; Provider: Unknown, File version: Unknown, Copyright: Unknown, Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility.

I'm worried it may not have installed all of the drivers, or all the of whatever necessary components are required to make this graphics card function at full efficiency. Moreover, I'm worried that I can't update my drivers. Or...install them...in any direct fashion. I would love any help.

SOLVED

So, yeah, impatience mixed with lots of patience bore fruit. I just deleted the whole partition and reformatted, installed Windows 8, updated my ooold bios firmware, updated Windows, installed all new drivers, etc.

Wheee! Flashy new interface, no more problems, and a new registry to accidentally abuse.
