HELP How to chose RAM right?

Hi guys, i want to buy ddr3 memory for my pc build but have no ideea what frequency to buy. Plizz explain me someone the difference in memory frequency and give some examples to buy for pc because im new.
My cpu : i5-4690k
MoBo : asus z87 pro

he 4690 can generally handle most any freq available, for client builds I generally look to 1866-2400, though it depends on what you do. Gaming - 1600 will suffice, with the prices and slight gains available in gaming 1866-2133 is the sweet spot. If you multi task alot and or use DRAM intensive apps then 2133-2400 is th sweet spot, you can go higher but prices tend to rise sharply after 2400
