Hi all!

Hoping you are able to suggest some ideas as to why my build has just stopped powering.

So put all together last night. Booted fine, did the usuals, Update bios, etc.
Then today I created raid 1, installed windows, drivers, windows updates, not a single problem.
Did a test on speed of ssds, all good.

Then, installed the asus temp monitoring software and prime95. Ran prime on blend, watched it for about 2 mins and cpu temp got to about 56C. Went away and back after about 5 mins the temp was at 62C. Had only gone up slow so went away again. About 10 mins passed and i went back. Machine was off.
Tried to turn on with front button. Nothing. Turned off psu, unplugged for a few mins. Nothing. Tried powering up using the power button on the mobo, nothing. Tried hitting the reset cmos button also. Memcheck button doesnt do anything.

No fans power up. It just sits there as if it has power but doesnt turn on.

The power button and reset button are lit up on the mobo but thats all.

Any ideas? Spec is below. Your help is greatly appreciated.

- Asus Z97 Deluxe
- Intel i7 4790 Haswell
- Corsair 32GB 1600Mhz DDR3 CL9
- 2 x Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD (in Raid 1)
- Corsair AX860 PSU
- Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD
- Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit

Using onboard graphics and stock cooler. No overclocking.

Thanks . The mobo has various lights to tell you if a component is faulty. One for ram, cpu, graphics, boot device
None of them are lit. So my thought is it must be the mobo ?

Thats my problem. Not getting anything from the PSU.
Its still able to power the leds on the mobo on standby.....seen this before?

Ive never had a psu die on the first day, only years down the line and never one of a high quality like this ax range.

Alexoiu - Yes. Nothing from fan.
Cursedqt - Yes. Only recieved delivery yesterday.

I will do an RMA with supplier and order another. Bit worried about choosing the same model now. Never had problems with corsair before though.

Thanks guys. Appreciate your help. :)

Alexoiu, can i ask why you say HX range. Isnt the AX higher? Also fully modular. I dont think i really need the digital "i" part.

Just been reading up. It looks as though the i's are not made by Seasonic, only the AX range. Apparently Seasonic make the most reliable ones? Think ill go with the same and hope i dont get another duff one :)
