Hello.

For quite some time now, I've had my two Gigabyte WindforceX3 670's in SLI. While they have never, ever overclocked any good (which is weird for those cards, but I've learned to live with it), there still seem to be problems with them.

Today, I have been monitoring temps, fiddling with settings, testing drivers, and nothing has changed the results. Even lowering ingame settings has changed nothing (Although in games like CS:GO, this should never be a problem).

I am also experiencing severe stutter when a twitch stream is running in the background/on my second monitor. Does not matter if it is visible, or minimized.

I cannot believe that my CPU would bottleneck, running with an i7-4770k, that does not seem to go too hot (60-70degree celcius is the max I've seen).

As for a PSU, I have the Corsair AX1200i power supply, so that shouldn't be an issue either.

The only "strange" thing I have noticed, is that one of my HDD's is responding quite slow when browsing it, or writing to it - but even when I do not use anything related to it, it's still the same. I have not tried unplugging it, however.

My windows, and all of my games, runs on SSD's.

I'm not sure what other information would be viable here - if anything, please do ask.
I am greatly considering buying a single 970, and sticking with that. I just want to make sure that my current cards actually is the issue, first.

Thank you for your time to read this, I hope someone with more knowledge than me might be able to give me some insight in what's wrong here.

A single graphics card is always the best option. Some games don't properly take advantage of SLI and can just like in your case hurt performance. I recommend disabling it in the settings

Disable SLI ingame, or entirely in the nvidia control panel?
