FX 6300 vs i5 4460 in Gaming and Video editing

As the title says. Which would be better, i will OC the 6300 if thats the right choice but would the i5 be better for Multithreaded programs even though i cant OC it

The i5 is better, full stop. The FX-6300 competes more with i3's than with i5's.

If you want budget performance in editing you should look at the FX-8320. Not that expensive, 4 modules/8 cores, and easily OC'able to 8350 levels. The i5 is not bad when editing either though.
