Random CPU Freezing/Crashing?

So a few months ago I got a new gaming PC from iBuyPower (I didn't trust myself to build one from scratch.) I got a Revolt with fairly good specs which I'll list below. Anyways, something that's been plaguing me ever since I got it were random freezing/crashing issues whenever I play a game for an extended period of time. This applies to all games. I've tried everything I can short of opening the actual casing and looking at the inner hardware. I run MSI Afterburner when I play, I've cleaned my computer with software, etc. Not really sure what to do. I'll open the computer if I have to, I just want the issues to stop.

Computer Specs:
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 16.00 GB RAM
Driver: Fully updated as of this post (344.75)
OS: MS Windows 8.1

Temperature is fine. Only gets up to like, 57 C max. The next time it happens I'll make sure I check what is taking up the usage.

I believe so, yes. I play games on higher settings. I've considered that being a problem, but I wasn't sure if turning down the graphics would stop them from crashing.
