Hello,
My Thinkpad T420 (model 4177CTO) had the screen die this past week and I've been trying to fix the issue. I took the laptop apart, made sure that the wiring wasn't loose, but have had no luck.
I was told that the backlight was probably burnt out, but I think it may be a driver issue.
I'm running Windows 8.1 and when I go to set the screen resolution, the laptop monitor is recognized. However, it used to be named specifically for the lenovo monitor, but now it's simply called 'Mobile PC Display' and I can't set the resolution to the resolution it should be.
Has anyone had any issues like this as well?
