I have had black screen crashes for 8 months when playing certain games on my computer. This is the error in the Event Log:

My specs (I know it's not great; it's a family PC):
prebuilt HPE 1160t
1TB HDD
8 Gbs RAM
Nvidia GT530
Intel i7 2600k
Junk power supply ~300W
I have tried everything software-wise, and it used to run monster games so I do not believe it is a software issue. Also scoured the internet. I have narrowed it to either: faulty/low wattage PSU, faulty/overheated GPU, power problems relating to power strip. Any ideas?
