I see tons of options out there for 8GB memory ram. Any suggestions as to which I should get?

I get confused when I see stuff like PC3 12800 and PC3 14900 and 1600 mhz.

Important question, what will you be doing with your rig? If primarily gaming 8GB will do for now, if doing things like multi-tasking, video, imaging, VMs etc would go 16GB....same applies to freq of the DRAM I'd suggest 1866 as the entry level (1866-2133) is the sweet spot for gaming pricewise) if doing the higher end (the video, etc0 look to 1866-2400).

Dual channel provides up to a 10-15% performance increase

Hello! I'm assuming you're overclocking with the motherboard and processor selection you provided. 1600 mhz RAM is relatively standard, and anything above that is higher performance RAM. The PC3 14900 is higher performance than PC 12800. And yes, there are tons of options. If I had to recommend a kit to you, I'd pick this one. The price is really good for the performance it provides, without a sacrifice in quality. That's my two cents. Hopefully others will also chime in to give more opinions. Have a nice day!
