Hi there, im a long time fan of the forums but a fairly new poster here.

Im running into some odd problems (in this case, gaming related) regarding what im assuming is not having enough ram. But of course before i go off and buy some new dims i would rather explore other options. Starting with my System specs:

1. Asus p8z77-v LX mobo
2. Seasonic 650w 54a 12v PSU
3. Intel core i5 3570k oc'ed @ 4.2 gh/z
4. EVGA GTX 970 SC Edition Stock Clocked
5. GSkill Trident 1600 mh/z (2 x 2gb)
6. Windows 7 64-bit
7. Seagate barracuda 7200 rpm 1tb
8. Corsair Neutron 128gb SSD
9. OCZ Vertex 128gb SSD
10. Asus vg248qe 144h/z 24"
While idle on my desktop with minimal tasks in the background, (task manager monitoring and real temp) as we speak, my system is utilizing 1.89 gb of ram . While gaming i monitored my ram usage to bump as high as 3.8gb and my cpu usage at about 95%. The game in question was Battle Field 4. GPU clock and temps were normal and not being taxed, Cpu temp was fine as well but it rendered the game unplayable due to the amount of rubber banding and most of the time the inability to even move .

So im at an impass as to weather my CPU/Mobo is just outdated, Bottleneck due to RAM, or some combination of both.

Thanks for reading, please reply!

BF4 excels with 6-8GB of RAM, though it is totally possible to run with 4GB... you will experience issues.
The CPU is fully capable.

You should NOT be using that much RAM idle at desktop. Check your task manager processes to see whats eating up your RAM!
You will see a nice improvement playing BF4 with a RAM increase.

maybe not having enough ram is maxing my cpu? cause im hitting 95-100% In AC Unity but gameplay is smooth overall....hitting the same marks as bf4. go figure?
