Better GPU and PSU. The CX series isn't very high quality and should be avoided when possible.

Unless you plan to OC, you could get an EVO and a 4440 or 4690.

I don't plan on over clocking at first, but I was trying to future proof some with the d14. Also if I upgrade to a 770, shouldn't I just get a 970 instead?

Thanks, I will definitely upgrade my PSU then and I will look further into upgrading my GPU.

I was unaware the 770 was so expensive, lol! The 280x would take the place of that.
Frag listed a good build.

Dunno if you have a peripherals and OS, though.

I'm going to get windows 7 64-bit and I haven't got to my peripherals yet, but I was planning on dual monitors, one primarily for gaming and a second for multi tasking.

Are those to be included in the $1000 budget?
That would severely impact the rig lmao

Just the windows 7, NOT the moniters, sorry forgot to put that in the part list lol.
