Which one would give me better performance for gaming? I run only at 3mbps though. And can anyone recommend good ones that are preferably about 20$ or less?

The other way has no sense, router is a kind of WAN-LAN splitter.
I guess since you are asking about Wifi you have that router already, so simply connect one of the lan ports at the router with the PC and you are done. It will be cheaper and will be working faster for sure.
Only reason i would consider connecting PC over Wifi is impossible cable management and/or portability...

The answer is cable. But for some reason you have to use Wifi then i see that options up to $20:

Its hard to find PCI one nowadays, but if you would the difference is none. Personally i would choose USB tho, but such with detachable antenna (couldn't find quickly one) so you could use something like this in case signal is not very well:

Hi. I guess you are right that cable is best. My only question is, how do I do this? Can I connect in this way: Modem>PC>Router? All connected through Ethernet Cables? Or will I be able to do something like this: Modem>Router>PC since my router has like 4 more ethernet ports at the back. I was thinking I could maybe connect an ethernet cable from those extra ports then connect it to my desktop afterwards. Will that work?

Thanks. I think I understand now but just to clarify, the way that doesn't make sense is the Modem>Pc>Router right?

Nope it doesn't make sense... maybe only in situation when modem has only usb as an output signal or PC is a proxy, additional firewall or other important service... In that scenario PC is some kind of server which would have to work 24/7 to provide Internet connectivity.
If modem has RJ45 as an output also that PC would need to have 2x LAN network card.
