No I haven't purchased the motherboard yet but, I have currently ont he case and I'd like to upgrade to that board in the future when I finally move on the the FX series (specifically the 8350 cpu) but pcparts.com detected some compatibility issues? It says that it doesnt support the front panel usb 3.0?

Can somebody confirm if this is true?

That appears to be true. From the ASUS support page:

Built-in Controller : 10 x USB 2.0 port(s) (4 at back panel, black, 6 at mid-board)
Built-in Controller : 2 x USB 3.0 port(s) (2 at back panel, blue)

What that means is the connections for the USB 3.0 ports are occupied by the connector on the back panel and there is no USB 3.0 header on the mobo where you could connector a cable to take it to the front panel. The "mid-board" connector is all USB 2.0.

lets just say that I didn't care about using front usb... would this combo still work?

sorry to sound like a noob.

Yes it would but there are far better boards for similar money - I use the Asus in s htpc case with a fx6300.
I'm honestly not sure I would run a 8350 on it - why even consider putting a cut down Matx board in the 200r when its capable of takingca full size atx board??

Uk and I'm just looking for a case that would have room for upgradability when I need it later on, casue I know I'd want an fx 8350 later on so having a motherboard work with my case is crucial... after our discussion yesterday I went back to the shop and saw an In Win G7 case, it looked nice and seems to have better air flow, how is that compared to the Corsair 200r?

Budget around £40 the zalman z3 plus every time mate - good case ,4 fans & a twin speed fan controller included

Best bang for buck mb bar none.
I would highly recommend going for the 8320 & a aftermarket cooler like the 212 evo ( you can run it at 8350 speed easily) - the price should be about the same & you get a first class aftermarket cooler instead of the poxy amd stock one which is barely capable.
