samsung 840 evo vs. 850 pro

Solution
I doubt you will be able to tell the difference in real world usage. They might benchmark differently but either will be orders of magnitude better than a HDD.

I have both in my rig. Real world there is absolutely zero difference. Got the 850 because 1.) On sale on black friday and 2.) I really liked the piece of mind that comes with a 10 year warranty. 840 is simply amazing for the price tho.

For that I got backup... I buy new drive and restore the backup. Simple as that :)
And for very important data is RAID1 drives or cloud...

All I can say is "good luck". It isn't worth the risk to me... Maybe if I made money on this hardware, but otherwise, just not worth it.

RAID1 isn't a foolproof solution. Whatever is on RAID1 should have a backup strategy also.

I don't know what you store in your system drive, but my system drive contains mainly OS and installed apps & games and my main priority for system drive is speed. And as I told, most important things are in data drives or cloud or both if absolutely needed (photos and that kind of things which are impossible to recreate). But that is most I do for it. If I lose somehow the data drives and cloud files then I propably also win from lottery, too. :)
