I am building in an apevia.com/ProductsInfo.asp?KEY=X-Dreamer4-GN, so from what i can tell i can mount a single fan cooler on the back or a double fanned cooler on the top, what would be the best option to cool a 4790k that I want to push up near 4.8ghz

Double for sure if your trying to get that high of a overclock.
Good luck on the chip lottery draw some of them already run very toasty.
