Hello!

I am at the point, where i own a gtx 770 and i5 3570k OC at 4.5 ghz. I would like to ask you, if you know which choice (buy another gtx 770 for sli . or gtx 980) will bring me the most fps at games ( far cry 4, upcoming gta 5,. and more graphic demanding).

I am worried about 2GB of vram of my gtx 770, but it shouldnt be a problem at 1080p gaming in far cry 4 and upcoming games right?

Please help :)

Thank you!

If it were the 4GB version of the 770 I might be tempted to make a rebel argument for why going with the additional card in SLI would be a legitimate option.

Really though, get a 970 and save the 770 for backup or sell it to fund a well placed additional 970 in the near future. Overall, the 980 isn't really worth it's price point, nor the now at least. In some months we'll most likely see it at a more agreeable price in relation to further nvidia and AMD releases over the early summer.

I'd personally wait for the(hopefully) 990 release. Although it'll be priced to reflect what it actually is, it'll be the buy worth waiting for. Even if we only end up with a 980Ti, I'd sit patiently waiting for that, as opposed to a 4GB 980

1 high end card is always better than 2 mid end ones. You should only do sli or cfx if you are already on the high end market and also, not all games support it, especially at launch.
With the gtx 980 you will be able to play all games at 1080p - 60fps, i think even crysis 3.
So yeah, definetly get the 980.
