Here is the problem:

About two weeks ago my started occasionally rebooting itself, always when playing games (except on one occasion), and at one time it shut itself off completely. This has become much more frequent in the past few days.

It reboots without any bluescreen error.

I've tested the RAM with Windows Memory Diagnosis Tool (one test) and with Memtest86 (three passes) and they found no problems with the RAM.

I've reinstalled the driver software for the graphics card, and looked for driver updates for other things but to no avail.

I've tried a clean reinstall of window, as well as a system image restore but the problem persists.

All temperature monitoring software I have installed is reporting safe temperatures on CPU and GPU.

I have looked inside the case and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the motherboard.

When I run prime95 and furmark concurrently the system reboots almost immediately. When running either program alone the system does not reboot. So my suspicion is that the PSU is not able to provide enough power to the PC when it's under heavy load, and is failing, but I'm not 100. The PC is usable when not gaming except for some brief and random freezes.

When I check the event viewer after a reboot it displays Kernel Power error 41 and kernel processor power errors.

Here are system's specs in full:

Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AM3+ motherboard
AMD FX-6300 CPU
AMD Radeon R9 270x
8GB Kingston DDR3 RAM 1600MHz
Toshiba 2TB SATA 3 HDD
Corsair 450w VS series PSU

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.
