hello,
i'm looking to get a cooler for my pc, i don't have a lot of knowledge on the topic but I've gathered that swiftech h220x is a great cooler because of the temps and minimal noise it provides.

For me the noise is a matter as I tend to get up very early and sleep very late and the cooling is important because the pc is running roughly 10 hours on a normal day.

now i've gone to see that I can't find a retailer that sells swiftech in UK so i have to order it from overseas which will cost me about £150-£200

I was wondering if for that price i'd be able to get a better cooling kit (mainly just gonna use it for cpu.

I've read that corsair tends to get very loud so i'm kinda avoiding that as I'd be rendering a lot on my pc.

XSPC rayerstorm offers a large range which i'm not sure what to pick from (the 240mm ones)

so my question is would it be worth it to go for the h220-x/240-x or to go for a xspc rayerstorm for roughly the same price.

Swiftech is a great manufacturer of watercooling components and has been in the biz for a very long time. The first watercooling kit components I ever purchased were from Swiftech around 12 years ago, so they know what they are doing.

XSPC also has some great kits for the money and you can get into the hobby easily using one of them. If you are going with a CPU-only loop, either would be a great start. If you plan to add anything else to the loop in the future, I would recommend going with a pump upgrade to a DDC or D5 if looking at XSPC. The Swiftech units come equipped with a DDC pump version installed as part of their product.

Thank you so much for your answer rubix_1011,

I really like swiftech, specially the looks of it are kinda cool too compared to xspc.

In the end I think I will stick with a cpu only cooling device for now, I have to do some more research on the noise each produces and from there i'd be choosing the one that has the best cooling to noise ratio.

My current pc which is like 5 years old and is running on 1 fan back and 1 in front is running close to 50db which is ok on normal days but sometimes it is too much.

Do you know anywhere I can find some data on the noise level on swiftech?
