Hello guys , i am new member of this forum but i was always checking it when i had problems or just to educate my self . The time has come to make an account here and make my questions ! :D

So recenlty I bought some computer parts for my new pc :

AMD FX 6300
ASRock 980DE3/U3S3
8GB Ram DDR3
Artic Cool PSU 530 Watts 80% Efficency.

I am currenlty looking to buy a graphic card.
My budget is around 80-120(more than I can afford but if its smth that really worth it then , well, i will find a way to get it :D )

I dont know if my self is consider gamer or smth . I play some games like : Insurgency , CSGO , Left 4 Dead. But also some game series I like , as Resident evil for example and any other game that might gets my attention , i.e. The Evil within .

Anyways , for some reasons, I know for more people sounds weird(it shouldnt) , I play on 720p and not in 1080p. maybe cause my old monitor supported only up to this resolution and I am used to it and i dont want to change it .

To the point , my question is if anyone knows what the different of frame rates between those to resolutions?

for example lets assume i have a GTX750ti and I play Battlefield 4 at 1080p resolution at 50 frames per second. if I change the resolution to 720p using the same game same graphic card , whats going to be the difference of frame rate? I am asking because all the benchamrk sites have minimum testing at 1080p. and If I can play a game at high settings in 720p while in 1080 I can play it in lower settings then it would be very usefull for me to pick a graphic card. I mean maybe a cheaper graphic card might do the job for me .

sorry for my large post,

thanks in advance ,

Aggelos

Well if you can afford an Nvidia GTX 770 or 760 or the up coming 960 then you will be supported with the new DSR technology which lets you run Resolutions larger than your native resolution.

Let`s say if you have 720p, you can play your game in 1080p and there you can determine if there is a significant increase in FPS. :)
