Question is if I can pair KINGSTON HyperX 8GB 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 with
DDR3-1866 Kingston 8GB Hyperx Fury?

Also, is there someway to properly check the amount of mhz my computer is currently running?

To check, get the free app CPU-Z and check in the memory tab - will show freq and timings you are running at...as far as Hyper X and the Fury sticks - the Hyper X run under XMP and the Furys use PnP, so while mixing itself isn't recommended for any sets of sticks, this would be an even lower recommendation, have had some try mixing these two and gotten nowhere

So my motherboard is capped to 1600 MHz? Isn't that very odd when I bought my PC this way? Why would the default RAM and Motherboard not support eachother? Also, how do I manually change it? I tried setting it to 1600 MHz instead of auto in BIOS but it didn't seem to change anything at all.

Also, when I recieve my Hyperx CL10 RAM, will I be able to setup an XMP profile? How do I go about changing my RAM sticks and will I still not be able to use all 1866 MHz?

I want you to know that I really appreciate your fast responses a whole lot, especielly considering the stupudity of my questions. ^^

What's the DRAM running at now, can check with the free app CPU-Z - get it and look in the memory tab, if it shows the frequency as 933 then you are running 1866 - if it shows 800 then you are at 1600 and if at 667 then you are at the default of 1333

Last I checked I couldn't set it to more than 1600, so unless I missed some options I guess I can't. Now, I've been reading a bit here and there, also on Tomshardware, and I've heard that you can manually tweak timings or something? Is this a possibility?

Also, any chance the new RAM will have an XMP profile I can enable that will make 1866 Mhz possible?
