Hi all,

I would like to get a third monitor (ASUS VG248QE) and another graphics card to put in SLI.

Here is my current configuration:

Processor: AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
Graphics: MSI GTX 660 Ti PE ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127696&Tpk=MSI%20N660TI%20PE%202GD5%2fOC%20GeForce%20GTX%20660%20Ti&IsVirtualParent=1 )
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4x4) DDR3 1866
Power Supply: CORSAIR CX600M 600W

Since my current graphics card is discontinued I need to get different one and it's giving me a headache. I know if I choose more powerful card it's gonna work by the slower card and other way around. Thus, I am looking for something exactly the same or slightly better so I don't waste lots of money. Do you guys have any recommendations? I was looking into GIGABYTE GV-N660OC-2GD ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125443 ) but the only thing that is different is CUDA cores. I have 1344 with my current card and this one has 940. I am not really familiar with the CUDA so I need some comments on this. Would this be good fit, or I should look at something else and what?
Also, keep in mind that I have 600 W power supply. I believe if I add one more card I should be OK. Are there any programs that can tell me how much power I am using right now?

I really appreciate any comments/suggestions.

Thanks

It would. It's slower than your current card (lower factory OC) and it will run a bit hotter but nothing too serious. It's actually quite similar to my old 660 SLI setup. Identical coolers, similar clock differences. Worked like a charm.

You can try to OC the slower card to keep up with the faster one for a free performance boost. No guarantee of succes of course.

Thank you for your reply. I did not know that and I'm glad you told me because I would buy a wrong card and end up with a headache. Thank you, again. Also, I did play around a little bit with this power calculator and it looks like I am already at around 550 W.

If anyone has any suggestions which card should I get to make it work really good I would appreciate that. Thank you in advance.
