Hi. I'm currently stuck between these two processors. I plan to play some low demanding games, buy primarily do video editing and streaming from Xbox One. I would really appreciate If I could get pointed in the right direction for my needs. I will be using 16gb of ram, and an r9 270x graphics card. I am on an $850 budget for now.
Intel i7 4790k vs. Amd Fx 8350 for video editing/Streaming.

depending on the size of the renders for the editing, small files the cheaper 8350 or even 8320 will be more then enough but if you plan at all to do large projects in the future, grab the 4790k.

For streaming I would recommend the 4790k had an 8320 in my streaming pc it would constantly drop frames and that was overclocked at 4.4
if it was dropping frames than you didn't have enough cooling an/or you had it overclocked to far its not the CPU's fault for overheating.
an why pay twice as much for the 4790k when you only get 10-13% more speed for spending $150 more? Its not cost effective. You could get more RAM or a SSD/ more space with the $150 you saved an that would give more speed in editing than the cpu would alone. Its about the whole system not just one piece.
