I'm building a new PC with a i7-4790k and a GTX 970. I accidentally shorted the old motherboard on my desktop and have been using my laptop since. I don't want to spend more money on a new power supply if I don't have to and the one I got previously was top of the line. There's no chance that using my old PSU would be a risk is there?
This was the mobo that got shorted: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188024
This is the PSU I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153053
Thanks for your time!
