Hi there rockkpar,

Most probably the partitions of the drive are corrupted. This usually happens when the plug is pulled before the drive's cache got cleared. In case you need the data, you will have to use a partition recovery software(I can't really recommend you a specific one). Keep in mind not to overwrite the drive. If you don't need the data, you can just format it and after that test it with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool. The results will show you the overall health status of the drive.

hey D_Know_WD,
Thanks for your valuable reply, you advised to use that to diagnose the health of the hard drive, will it show me the if there is physical damage?
another question is that I got "Format the harddrive error" is there any possibility that due to physical damage it shows this error?

The tool I have provided link to should show you if there is something wrong. If there is something physically wrong with the drive, it should be somehow shown in the S.M.A.R.T results(and I guess the test will fail). As I already mentioned, the HDD is prompting format as there is most probably something wrong with the partition. Do you safely eject the device? Such data/partition corruption may be caused by just pulling out the USB cable without safely ejecting.
Is there something unusual around the drive(except for the format prompt) which makes you think it is a physical issue(like weird sounds).
