Hi , Tested my amd 280x graphics card with the latest Omega Drivers that have just been released using unique heaven bench mark graphics program , I ran the test on Ultra setting which really does tug hard on the abilities of my graphics card , yet i only managed a 1 frame increase from the old drivers to the new drivers my score went from 812 to 819 , which may of just been a variance as opposed to a real increase.

I assume that unique heaven is not optimised for the new drivers or am i missing something ?

My graphics card is not overclocked.

The rest of my system is
1866 mhz 16gb ram
8350 o.c to 4350
840 evo SSD
asus mb

750 psu xfx pro

Has anyone else done any tests with the new drivers and noticed a good increase ?

Advice please.

I feel that I see what you're getting at but from my experience I've never seen a driver give an across the board increase in everything. Normally it's a key few current generation or popular games they focus on and this applys to both Nvidia and AMD.

Newer or different drivers don't make your GPU any faster. They may add optimizations for specific or newly released games, or add new crossfire/sli profiles. Read the driver release notes to see specifics.

Well i guess based on the 9 % increase on the 290x in the blurb , i thought perhaps testing the new drivers with a benchmark program should show some kind of overall improvement , i thought that is what benchmarking programs where there for !?
