I purchased a HP Pavillion laptop from a young man. The laptop has Windows 8.1 operating system. When I bring up the C Drive, folders come up in his Users name. I would like to delete his User name but I don't want to lose any programs. Can someone tell me how to do this.

If his account is the administrator account, you can't do anything on it. If his account is the user account, try this: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1656396/remove-user-accounts-windows.html
