I've been looking for some great deals. I prefer a windows tablet because there are some apps I would like to use on the tablet that I use on my desktop. But I can go with android if it is a good tablet. One of the Apps I want to run on the windows tablet is Acrobat XI Pro. I know you can open pdf's on android devices but I need to be able to enter in info into a fillable form which I have never been able to do so far on an android.
I can currently get a 10" winbook with 32gb SSD and 2gb memory for $200 at microcenter. But it is only a 1.3ghz quad core. I was looking at some of the Fire HD tablets but I'm not sure what would work best. I was looking at the nvidia shield tablet (16gb) for $299, but I'm not sure I could afford that.
I think 8" would be minimum screen size.... so any recommendations?

I have both a Windows 8 and Android tablet. I prefer the Windows one and use it much more often. They are also quite inexpensive now. check out this Asus Vivo.

The Atom Bay Trail quad cores have plenty of power for these tablets.

The Kindle stuff is ok, but realize it is not native Android, and you will only have access to Amazon apps, not the Google play store.

Yeah, that is the one I purchased a week or so ago. It's a great tablet that is basically a mini PC. I'm loving it every day I use it. I have already set it up for streaming via the Steam game client. Though now I realize I need to somehow upgrade my wireless router. I wonder if comcast has a newer all in one router yet.....
