Hello,

first i will start with my specs
ASRock N68 VS3 ucc
AMD X4 640 ( Unlocked L3 6MB)
Ballistix 4GB DDR3 1600MHz ( willing to upgrade to Max = 8GB )
XFX R7770 Double dissipation 1GB
Antec High Current Gamer 400W PSU
Aerocool XpredatorX1 case
WD 10ezex blue 1TB HDD

While playing BF4 i am having CPU spikes (to high CPU usage whice causes lag)
While playing BF4 and i want to check my task manager it takes up to 1-2 minutes to open up my task manager.

Now is my question.
If i am having just a couple hundreds of MB Ram left. does that make your PC slow like how mine acts ?

Ill porst a screenshot soon of the Ram usage while playing BF4

The yellow line is my CPU usage
The Green one is my GPU.

settings are on lowest possible on 1920x1080.

Those spikes should stay inside the red box to not lagg.

Can ram also cause this ?

what me have been told is. when you run out of ram it takes some from the HDD. whice is alot slower. can u confirm that?

but right now u saw on the screen shot my memory usage. and how much i have left.
also u saw the CPU spikes on BF4 (yellow line)

Will those be inside the red box if i go to 8GB of memory ?

oh and
it only shows gpu and CPU. and cpu is causing the lagg right now. if i go to 8gb of ram will that mean it will decrease my cpu spikes ?

again i want to thank you for ur time

That is the recommanded yes. but my card isnt that big of a power user

GPU full load 80W
CPU 95W full load

Than i got my motherboard
1HDD WD10ezex and a total of 3 case fans and thats it .

my 12V line has 30Amps and me have been told that my PSU is way enough to run my system

i also though of a higher wattage PSU. but its not all about the watts. The watts is an total of amps and the GPU runs on the 12V line whice my psu has 30 amp. but a other 500-600 Watts psu could have better amps on the different lines but lower on the 12V line.

or is this totally not right ?

About the Ram.

So to make it simple and confirm it to be sure (sorry)
My cpu spikes are caused by not having enough Ram. upgrading to 8 is the best i can do to remove the lags ?
