I have a Gigabyte h81 ds2v lga 1150 mobo, with i5 4440 processor. the stock cpu fan was not doing the trick as my cpu temp in the bios would spike to 91 (no i havent overclocked yet, havent even gotten to install all the drivers) ordered the seidon 120v cooling system. after installing the system, which involved removing the mobo from chassis in order to mount the cooler to the cpu slot. my mobo only has one internal system fan slot and one cpu slot, i had to leave the chassis fan unplugged in order to accommodate the radiator fan. after all this my computer will not boot, though the power led lights up and the fans start for about a second when i do try to boot.

p.s. also just noticed a very small amount of thermal paste on the motherboard itself. could any of these things be affecting it or have i unknowingly short circuited my motherboard while installing the cooling system?

okay will try that tomorrow after work, if that is the case what could be causing the cooling system to not work? would it be a power supply issue? i also have a 600W power supply and geforce gtx 760 gpu if those specs are relevant.

Didn't change a thing. Also cleaned off all the extra thermal paste with a microfiber cloth.
