I do not know a whole lot about computers and want to upgrade my graphics card. My computer currently has a Nvidia GT 610 1GB graphics card, AMD FX-4300 Vishera quad core processor (3.80 GHz), 8GB DDR3 SDRAM, and a Turbolink ATX-TL-500W-BK power supply. If anyone could help me find a graphics card under 250$ and will not break my computer it would be much appreciated.

Edit: If I were to upgrade my power supply to 750W, would I have a "better" option that is still under 250$ or would the 760 still be the best one to get?

The gtx 960 is suppose to be revealed in january so if I were you, I would wait. Save yourself the regret of not waiting a little longer for the 960. The 960 will be based on the new maxwell architecture. That means it will be more powerful and most of all, more power efficient than the 760. So less stress on your psu and no need to upgrade. Also at the same price range as the gtx 760, you could get a r9 280x. It is a good bit faster and better value for your money. As long as your power supply is a quality one, it will handle those cards well.

the best graphics card you can get for that $$ is a r9 290. the go on sale often and i have seen them around 220

ps: the r9 290 wont be able to use its full power since the fx4300 its not strong enough to keep up with the gpu.
