hey guys ihave 2 x 4 gb corsair vengence so i wana increase their speed ...pls let me know how ...my mobo is m5a99fx and fx 8350 saphhire hd 7870 ........and tell me hows my built .

by increasing will it help me to play games smoothly (watch dogs)

what is the current speed. the FX has a somewhat weak memory controller, i would'nt bother overclocking your RAM. Watch Dogs is just a poorly optimized game that runs like crap on much better hardware than yours. My friends i5 3570k and GTX 770 stutters hella

what model ram do you have? please give the exact model number please.

This is an over clocking question BTW. you can increase the ram speed 2 ways. 1st is by setting the ram speed to the next speed level in the ram settings in the bios. 2nd is increasing the reference/base clock. *** Warning*** By increasing the referance clock it will increase the speed of the CPU also potentially causing system instability.

Yeah, increasing memory speeds rarely, if ever makes a difference, even in games. I haven't played it but also heard its poorly optimized. More gpu power is probably necessary to get smooth play at the settings you use.

To be honest corsair vengeance RAM is capable of handling anything thrown at it at stock speeds. I would advise to not even bother with overclocking it. The performance gain you might get will be minimal and probably not noticeable.

But if you must try it - Go to your bios, go to the AI tweaker page. Then scroll down to "memory frequency" and set it to a higher frequency. You won't be able to push it very far. You will know because your computer won't boot if you go to far with it.
