Hi,

I recently uninstalled my GPU driver, as well as CCC and everything that comes with it. I went to the AMD driver download page (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%207%20-%2064) and downloaded the 14.12 driver. I install everything on my boot drive and everything appears to be working normally. It finishes, and prompts me to restart my computer. I do so, and AMD's "thank you" page pops up using internet explorer. However, CCC states: "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly."

My GPU is the Radeon HD 7950, and under device manager -> display adapters, it lists AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series, but has the yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the middle.

I have tried uninstalling the driver, removing CCC, re-downloading, and reinstalling the driver multiple times and nothing has worked so far. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

***Update: I wiped the drivers, CCC, and everything (again), and reinstalled the 14.11.2 beta driver, which I was using before, and it's working again. However, I got an error message saying "Windows requires a digitally signed driver" both after installing the 14.12 driver (which never worked) and reinstalling the 14.11.2 beta driver. 1. Uninstall AMD Catalyst Installer in Control Panel, if you haven't already
2. Download DDU (Device Driver Uninstaller - http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/) and run it as administrator
3. DDU will ask you to reboot into safe mode, click Yes
4. Once rebooted, click on Clean Uninstall and Restart (Recommended) and wait. Your computer should reboot once it's finished
5. Run a fresh installation of the drivers

NOTE: When installing new drivers, I would recommend doing so in safe mode, and making sure you run the setup as administrator.

I did all of the above except installing the drivers in safe mode and running as administrator...you think that would make a difference? Especially since I could install the 14.11.2 beta driver but not the 14.12?

Well, if your installation gives errors, try installing older drivers. I have the same gpu as you, and I have had many problems installing Catalyst Beta drivers as well. So I decided to stick to what the MSI website provides (AMD Catalyst 14.4).
And yes, you can give it a try at installing them in safe mode and running as admin, it should help.

Unfortunately that did nothing. I used control panel to uninstall CCC and everything else, then did a clean uninstall with DDU, running it as admin. I downloaded the 12.14 Omega driver, booted into safe mode, but it couldn't install the driver without an internet connection. So then I restarted and booted normally into Windows, ran the driver install as admin, and got the same "Windows requires a digitally signed driver" error for the display and HDMI audio drivers. Now with 14.12, CCC is still telling me "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly."

This did the trick for me.
I uninstalled this windows update, rebooted PC, installed AMD driver ( amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win7-64bit ) and now is all working just fine.

Thanks!

I had a problem a few days ago where the 14.12 update would not install and I am pretty sure it''s the culprit to knocking out my onboard sound on my M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard. While I temporarily gave up trying to fix the GPU driver and moved over to trying to fix the sound. While I was trying to fix the sound, my USB ports stopped working. I got fed up and reformatted my HD and reinstalled windows for the 2nd time in a month.

And this is the computer that I do not download free games, torrents or and other risky behavior. I have a budget computer for all that stuff. So, i am pretty sure it's something not right in the driver and needs fixing asap.

Oh and by the way, I still cannot get this driver installed. My current version when I click start > Dxdiag in the search > click display > shows version 14.501.1003.0 Date = 11/20/14

Bumping this old thread. Im in this boat and cannot get it to work. I uninstalled CCC with DDU in safe mode. Redownloaded the 14.2 update and I get the "Windows requires a digitally signed driver" error for the display and HDMI audio drivers. If I try to open CCC, it says "AMD Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD Catalyst Control Center". If I open AMD Gaming Evolved, it keeps telling me to go download the 14.2 driver again. Seeing that this thread was from last december, i dont think its that old windows update that is the issue. I checked my windows updates and didnt see it. This card is about to go in the trash fast...
