The bracket on my asrock 980de3 motherboard is facing in such a way that when installed, my cpu fan faces up/down, where I want it to face left/right. Is it at all possible to undo the screws holding down the bracket and rotate it 90°?

There are 4 large screws attached to a rectangular backplate, which makes me think it may not be possible...

That's the thought I had, my cooler is a thermaltake (I can't remember the model), but it is a standard-ish heatsink used with a 120mm fan.

Are there any other options for mounting it sideways? its in the way of my exhaust, and I'd like it if I could have the air cooling the cpu to be exhausted too, as it currently wafts into the case...

You can't have the fan like that? On the side, blowing towards rear exhaust.

If it's like this, its probably so the cooler wont block the memory slots (bad design if you ask me, could make the heatsink thinner instead)

Do you have holes in the top of the case so the fan can blow out that way? Would be a good option.

It's currently setup like the second video, and I'm aiming for something like the first. Due to the shape an style of amd brackets (quick release thingo that's really easy to I stall), they only go on in one orientation. Unless I can take off the AMD bracket and instead use the Intel one (which I doubt), I guess it'll just have to blow out the top (I have some instructions there that make it not the best location for airflow).
