I just recently built a new computer and installed windows on my new 120gb SSD. I was wondering if I would be able to connect my old HDD to my new desktop without losing any of the data on it and having it be able to run.
Yes it will work perfectly fine (unless your HDD is damaged).
Make sure you plug the SATA cable to your mobo and the power cable to your PSU (similar to the SSD).
Your OS should recognize it as a secondary by itself.

You should still backup the data somewhere else and re-format the drive. That old installed windows takes up space, and you will be prompted at start-up to select a boot drive (you can bypass this boot selection though).
