Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I thought TomsHardware would be a great place to get some feedback on my computer setup, this will be my first gaming PC build and I'm looking to make this PC "replace" my console (PS3) or "devour" it. I just want to know if my build is too overpriced and what you think I need to change, if there is anything. I'm looking to make a good PC but not spend over $2000, I will end up gradually upgrading to 2-SLI and water cooling, but I just want to know your opinions on this one. :)

the build is good, but i know you will get some feedback, and other opinions, so take it for what its worth.
there are a few places that you can save money in this build. the build itself is very good, but there are a few things that are simply un-necessary for gaming.
althoughi love my 4790k, for gaming, it really does nothing for you. you can drop down to an I5 and be set. also, the MOBO, you could save money on with something a bit cheaper, such as an msi gaming 5, or gaming 3.

also, with SLI for the 980, without looking it up, i believe you will need around 1000w or more? not positive on that.

you could probably drop the ram down to 8gigs, but 16 wouldnt hurt.

This won't just replace your PS3, it will devour it ! Your planned build is so much better, and would definitely last a lot longer than the aging PS3.

The build looks fine, but I personally don't quite like the mouse from that bundle. I have tried it, and I feel that it's quite flat. I personally use the Corsair M95, but the Mionix Naos 7000 has recently attracted me.

@melonhead
Thanks for those suggestions, I think im going to keep the i7 because I'm going to be recording, rendering, as well as 3D presentations.
@IRONBATMAN

The mouses are nice but I'm going to save some cash for now and try out the bundle, if I really don't like it, than I will look into the Corsair and Mionix.
