So i have made a budget build and i want to know if it will be good for next 2-3 years, i will play Gmod, Minecraft , BF4 , DayZ Standalone and probably some new titles. I am not asking for Ultra settings but decent High settings and maybe medium in some demanding games in 1920X1080p is what i need, here is the build :

ZALMAN Z3 Plus Mid Tower Case

*ZALMAN ZM500-LE 500W PSU

*Asus B85M-E Socket 1150 Motherboard

*Intel Core I5-4460 Haswell 3.2GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor

*G.skill RipjawsX 8GB (1 X 8GB) DDR3 1600 CL9 1.5v Desktop Memory (F3-1600C9S-8GXM)

*Western Digital (WD) Caviar BLUE WD10EZEX 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache HDD

*Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 3GB GDDR5 (GV-N660OC-3GD)

*ASUS 24X DVD-RW DL Drive (DRW-24D3ST)

Yes i know that the gtx 660 3gb is not needed and that only 2gb will do but currently there is no 2gb and there is only 3gb with a low price tag (i don't live in U.S by the way) , also i am confused between The ZM500-LE PSU or the EVGA 430W PSU 80 PLUS CERTIFIED, so yeah let me know your thoughts :)

Note : i used one stick 8gb ram because i want to get 32gb later on

Note 2 : if i get either PSU's , i want u to know that i am going to upgrade to maxwell gpu like 970 or 980 of course after 2-3 years, so consider this when choosing between PSU's, Thanks

Note 3 ( hope it is the last one ) : I am using this build for youtube, so i will record while playing , probably will use shadowplay

This will be good for mid settings at 1080p for most games for the next 1-2 years. And 32gb ram is overkill for that system.

See my update plz if it changes your mind, i will be using the extra ram for editing and stuff, and of course i won't jump towards the 32gb at once, maybe upgrade one 8gb stick per 6 months or sth.

On the RAM... understand you're desire to upgrade to 32GB, but it would still be better to get 2x4GB now for two reasons. First, you'll have the advantage of the dual channel bandwidth of course. Secondly, when you go to 32GB, you'd be better off getting 2 16GB dual channel RAM packs, which are matched. Simply buying another single 8GB stick later won't guarantee compatibility (it's why they sell dual channel packs to begin with).

I wonder why you think you'll need to upgrade to 32GB anyway. 16GB is plenty for the next several years.

I know this is a budget build, but if you really want to upgrade to 32GB later, you might want to find a way to get 2x8GB now.

George was spot on with the RAM and the gfx card is still outdated and was made for 1080p gaming in 2012, when it was released. If you want gaming futureproofness, look for at least a 760ti, preferably a 770/970 for high settings 1080p for a while.

Look i am upgrading from a laptop with i3 and a 410m gpu with 4gb ram, everything here is awfull, i just want to play games with good settings on 1080p, even if on low settings in some games because i got used to it, but i want to know if the gtx 660 is good for 2 years maybe because i was comparing between it and the gtx 750 ti ( i wanted cheapest invida gaming gpus) and i choose the 660, my question is, will this do what i said "good settings on 1080p"?and if u could predict my settings for BF4 on 1080p i would be grateful

I'd go with the 750ti because its close to the 660 but its cheaper and more power efficient. Also, you'd be looking at mid settings 1080p on battlefield 3 if your fine with a few fps drops, and low settings for constant smooth fps everywhere.
