Is there a way to bring back classic start button menu in windows 8.1?

I recently upgraded to win 8.1, I thought they added the start button to the desktop and its useful menu but it´s just a link to the metro interface, it´s not the Windows 7 start button menu. My simple question, is there a way to customize the start button to open the classic Windows 7 menú ore something like that with the list of programms and functions without having to install third party fixes??

There is no way without installing apps/mods, but those mods are very small and easy to install.

FYI, you can right click the start button to get anywhere you want, use the start screen to be your app launcher, and anything else can be accessed through the file explorer. W8 is not that bad.

Still if you insist for the exact W7 one you will have to get stardock's start8 app.
