I will build a Gaming PC very soon and I'm planning on keeping it within the 700$ - 800$ price range. I want to play games like FarCry 4 and Modded Skyrim and other new titles on High settings.

This Build wont include the monitor's price, but advice is appreciated. You may exclude the OS's price from the build but I am planning on using the one listed. I am not planning to overclock or do any crossfire.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($169.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus B85M-E/CSM Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($84.68 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Kingston 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($101.96 @ Amazon)
Storage: Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($79.99 @ Adorama)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($51.85 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB DirectCU II Video Card ($164.99 @ NCIX US)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit) ($129.94 @ OutletPC)
Total: $783.40

Thanks.

CPU - Original Haswell, which is fine, but the Haswell Refresh models are out. Look toward the 4460
MB - A fine pairing for the older 4440 CPU, but look toward the H97 platform.
MEM - Always install modules in matching pairs to take advantage of the dual memory controllers.
SSD - The Kingston is OK, but the better budget minded options are with the Crucial below or the Samsung 840 EVO.

Like Sadams suggested, get a haswell refresh cpu, like the 4460 i5. Personally I prefer ATX motherboards, but that is a personal choice, it will not make a noticeable difference in performance, if any. The Samsung 840 SSD are still the fastest available, sometimes even faster than the new 850's. The R9 290 is a good gpu at a good price.

Thanks for all the support.
Sadly, the r9 290 isnt available in my area and Ill have to stick with the 270x, what type of monitor would fit it well?
Do you think the build can withstand Far Cry 4 on high?

I would stick with 1080p, for your build.

I would say Far Cry 4 should be doable on high.
